Social Media Share

Now and again I write short post to highlight what I like to call “Social Genius Snapshots”. Today I would like to highlight the lovely Irma Zimmermann – our Pinterest Specialist Blogger. She is using Pinterest like a good queen of visual media should and I thought you might get a kick out of seeing how she is using this new hot-to-trot social network to not only promote herself as a professional – but also to showcase her work and use it as a beautiful portfolio of the work that she does.

My Top Three Things That I Love About Irma’s Pinterest Activities:

1. She has created original themed Boards and filled them with Pins

There is nothing worse than getting to a Pinterest account and seeing blank boards. I reckon Irma’s strategy is…”when I come across something that interests me, I will create Board to go with it and then work with it as I go along.” She doesn’t have the generic ones you normally see which people create as failsafe’s and hope they will find something to stick in there. Also – her Pins are so eye catching you want to follow her/her Boards.

2. She has Pinned blog posts

This is something I’ve noticed that more and more people are doing – you can create a Board for your own blog…or as a visual RSS feed of the kind of posts you like and want to remember from other businesses. As long as there is an image to go with a post you want to Pin – why not! She has also created handy Boards for infographics – which is really cool.

3. She has created a beautiful “Pinterest” Board

Anything you want to know about Pinterest, how its used, some tricks, etc…she has created a themed Board for the knowledge she has been gleeming while being a Pinterest blogger for us!

Have you found any super ideas and ways in which people are using Pinterest? Whether for business or for promoting social or community projects? We would love to hear about them – please comment below and let us (even if you have an idea to share of what you do youself on the platform):
